Intro and Outro Transitions
Overview
By default, your intro cuts directly to the recording and the recording cuts directly to the outro. You can add a transition effect to make these handoffs smoother.
Setting Up a Transition
- Open your intro or outro in the editor (Branding settings > Edit).
- In the General tab, find the Transition card.
- Select a transition type from the dropdown (Crossfade, Dip to Black, etc.).
- Adjust the Duration slider to control how much of the intro or outro is used for the transition. A higher percentage means a longer, more gradual blend.
How It Works
- Intro → Video: During the last portion of the intro, the recording gradually appears underneath using the selected transition effect.
- Video → Outro: During the first portion of the outro, the recording gradually fades out while the outro appears.
Duration
The duration slider goes from 10% to 50% of the intro or outro length. For a 2-second intro with 30% duration, the transition starts 0.6 seconds before the intro ends.
Tips
- Crossfade at 20–30% is a good starting point for most intros.
- Dip to Black works well for more dramatic, cinematic transitions.
- The transition applies to both animated templates and custom video intros/outros.
