GIF Export
GIF Export
Create animated GIFs from your recordings — perfect for quick demos, documentation, and sharing in chat.
GIF Export Settings
- Frame Rate — Choose from 15, 20, 25, or 30 fps. Lower frame rates produce smaller files; higher rates give smoother animation.
- Size Presets — Select from predefined output sizes optimized for different use cases.
- Looping — Toggle whether the GIF loops continuously or plays once.
How to Export a GIF
- Open the export dialog with Cmd+E.
- Select GIF as the output format.
- Configure frame rate, size, and looping preferences.
- Click Export to render the GIF.
Share Links
After exporting a GIF, you can create a share link to share it instantly. The GIF is uploaded to Highlight Studio's cloud and you receive a URL you can paste anywhere.
Tips for Smaller GIFs
- Keep clips short — GIFs are best for 5-15 second demos.
- Use 15 fps for documentation and screenshots.
- Choose a smaller size preset if file size matters.
- Trim unnecessary content before exporting.
