Master these keyboard shortcuts to speed up your editing workflow in Highlight Studio.

Playback

• Space — Play / Pause
• K — Pause
• Left Arrow — Step back one frame
• Right Arrow — Step forward one frame
• J — Jump back 1 second
• L — Jump forward 1 second
• Cmd + Left Arrow — Go to start
• Cmd + Right Arrow — Go to end

Editing

• Cmd + B — Split clip at playhead
• S — Split clip at playhead (alternate)
• Delete — Delete selected clip
• Shift + Delete — Ripple delete (remove clip and close gap)
• Cmd + Z — Undo
• Cmd + Shift + Z — Redo

File Operations

• Cmd + O — Open project
• Cmd + Shift + O — Open video file
• Cmd + S — Save project
• Cmd + Shift + S — Save project as
• Cmd + W — Close project
• Cmd + R — Refresh project

Panels and Views

• Cmd + I — Toggle inspector panel
