Audio Recording
Highlight Studio supports multi-track audio recording so you can capture both your voice and system sounds simultaneously.
Microphone Audio
Record your voiceover or narration using any connected microphone:
- Select your preferred microphone from the device dropdown in the recording settings.
- Monitor your audio levels in real time before and during recording.
- Adjust volume and mute individual audio tracks later in the editor.
System Audio
Capture the sounds playing on your Mac, such as application audio, notification sounds, or media playback:
- Enable System Audio in your recording settings.
- System audio is recorded as a separate track, giving you full control during editing.
Audio in the Editor
After recording, your audio appears as separate tracks in the timeline with visual waveforms. You can:
- Adjust volume per track
- Mute or solo individual tracks
- Split audio along with video clips
