AI-Powered Transcription

Highlight Studio uses AI to automatically transcribe the audio in your recordings, generating subtitles you can edit and style.

How It Works

Open the Subtitles panel in the editor.
Click Transcribe to start the process.
Highlight Studio extracts the audio from your recording, splits it into chunks if needed, and sends it for transcription.
The transcription is processed using OpenAI's Whisper model for high-accuracy results.
Once complete, subtitle segments appear in the editor with timestamps.

Language Support

The transcription engine supports multiple languages. You can select your language before starting transcription, or let the AI auto-detect the spoken language.

API Key Options

Transcription can be processed through:

Built-in processing - Uses Highlight Studio's cloud service via Cloudflare Workers.
Your own API key - Enter your own OpenAI API key for direct transcription if you prefer to use your own account.

Progress Tracking

For longer recordings, the transcription progress is displayed so you can see how much of the audio has been processed.
