Using Title Cards Between Clips
What Are Title Cards?
Title cards are customizable text screens that you can insert between any clips in your timeline. They're ideal for adding chapter headings, section breaks, or introductory text between different parts of your video.
Adding a Title Card
- Right-click any clip in the timeline
- Select "Insert Title Card After"
- A title card appears between that clip and the next one
- The title card editor opens automatically in the sidebar
Editing a Title Card
Click a title card in the timeline to select it. The editor panel appears in the sidebar with these options:
Content
- Title — the main heading text
- Subtitle — optional secondary text below the title
- Duration — how long the card is shown (1–15 seconds)
Typography
- Animation — Fade In, Slide Up, Slide Left, Zoom In, Minimal, or Bold
- Title Size — font size from 16 to 96 points
- Subtitle Size — font size from 12 to 64 points
- Weight — Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold, or Heavy
- Title Color and Subtitle Color
Background
- Solid — single color background
- Gradient — two-color gradient with start and end colors
- Image — custom background image
Resizing Duration
You can adjust the title card duration in two ways:
- Use the Duration slider in the sidebar editor
- Drag the right edge handle on the title card segment in the timeline
Removing a Title Card
- Click to select, then press the Delete key
- Right-click the title card → "Remove Title Card"
- Use the "Remove Title Card" button at the bottom of the editor panel
Playback
During preview playback, the video pauses at each title card, plays the animated card for its duration, then automatically resumes video playback at the next clip.
Export
Title cards are fully rendered in your exported video with all styling, animations, and background settings preserved.
