Voice-Over Recording
Voice-Over Recording
Add narration to your video after the initial screen recording by recording voice-over directly onto the timeline.
How to Record a Voice-Over
- Open your project in the editor.
- Position the playhead where you want the voice-over to start.
- Open the voice-over recording controls.
- Select your microphone and begin recording.
- Speak your narration while watching the video preview for timing.
- Stop when finished — the audio appears as a new track on the timeline.
Editing Voice-Over
Voice-over recordings appear on their own audio track in the timeline. You can:
- Split the voice-over clip to remove mistakes or pauses.
- Move the clip to align it with specific moments in the video.
- Adjust volume independently from other audio tracks.
- Re-record sections by deleting a clip and recording again at that position.
Tips
- Mute the system audio track while recording voice-over to avoid feedback.
- Use the audio level meter to ensure consistent volume.
- Record in shorter segments for easier editing.
