Working with Tracks
The timeline in Highlight Studio supports multiple track types, each serving a different purpose.
Track Types
- Main Video Track - Your primary screen recording. Displays thumbnail strips for visual reference.
- Audio Waveform Track - Shows the audio waveform of your recording for visual audio editing.
- Camera Track - Manages your face cam overlay. Appears when camera footage is available. Each clip on this track can have its own position, size, and shape settings.
- Facial Markers Track - Displays facial tracking data points when face tracking was enabled during recording.
- Media Tracks - Additional tracks for imported audio or video files. You can import external media to layer on top of your recording.
Track Controls
Each track has controls on the left side of the timeline:
- Visibility - Show or hide a track in the preview and export.
- Lock - Prevent accidental edits to a track.
- Mute - Silence audio from a specific track.
Importing Media
You can import additional audio and video files as new tracks. Imported media appears on its own track and can be cut, moved, and adjusted independently. Audio tracks include volume and panning controls.
