Using Pexels Wallpapers as Backgrounds

Highlight Studio integrates with Pexels to give you access to thousands of high-quality, royalty-free wallpapers directly in the background settings.

How to Use

1. Open the Background section in the settings sidebar
2. Select the Wallpaper tab (first tab)
3. Browse the curated selection or search for specific themes
4. Click any thumbnail to download and apply it as your background

Quick Search Tags

Use the quick tags to jump to popular categories: Abstract, Nature, Gradient, Dark, Minimal, Space, Ocean.

Details

• Images are downloaded in original resolution (often 4K+) for crisp exports
• Downloaded wallpapers are cached locally so they work offline after the first use
• When you switch to a new Pexels wallpaper, the previous one is automatically cleaned up to save disk space
• Infinite scroll pagination — keep scrolling to load more results
• Available in both the video editor and screenshot editor
