Speed Effects
Speed regions let you change the playback speed of specific portions of your video, creating slow-motion or time-lapse effects.
Creating Speed Regions
Add a speed region to a section of your timeline and set the speed multiplier:
- Slow Motion - Use a multiplier below 1x (e.g., 0.5x for half speed) to slow down important moments and give viewers more time to see what is happening.
- Time Lapse - Use a multiplier above 1x (e.g., 2x or 4x) to speed through repetitive or less important sections.
Use Cases
- Slow down a key click or interaction so viewers can follow along.
- Speed through setup steps, loading screens, or waiting periods.
- Create dramatic effect by alternating between normal and slow-motion speed.
Speed regions appear as indicators on the timeline and are applied during the final render.
